About Kyran

The Skater

In November 2007 at the age 35 Kyran was crowned Dancing on Ice champion along with his partner Mel Lambert after an audience of 10 million watched him defeat actress Clare Buckfield live on ITV1. Before this amazing feat, Kyran had never skated before, save for one bruising outing as an 11 year old. Kyran then went on to win the Champion of Champions show in which the 2007 finalists (Kyran, Clare, Duncan James went up against Bonnie Langford, Stefan Booth and Gaynor Faye).

With his enormously successful rugby career behind him, ice skating presented Kyran with a fantastic opportunity. An opportunity to have a focus, a training regime with a quantifiable goal, the fun that goes with being part of team and performing for the public.

Kyran is never one to miss a trick, and was very much alive to the broad appeal of ice skating and the pleasure that whole family derives from celebrity and professional performances. With his entrepreneurial spirit, creative thinking and a good network of friends in the sport, Kyran Launched his first Ice Party in Jersey.

This sellout summer show in 2008 at Fort Regent in St Helier, was followed by a Christmas extravaganza in Bristol. The mix of world class professional skaters, celebrity skaters and pop star singing performances is an absolute winner. High quality family fun.
